Make Neighborhoods Safer

Ring’s mission may be lofty, but with every smart security innovation, they get closer to making it a reality.

I helped further that mission by embodying the brand’s helpful, neighborly voice and applying it to every marketing communication you can imagine—from direct mailers to 360 brand campaigns. Working alongside product designers, technical writers, strategists, Go To Market and Acquisition teams, I became an expert in complicated camera tech, subscription services, and home security. Then, I made it all incredibly simple with friendly copy that highlights the everyday benefits without relying on creepy scare tactics.


 

Ring Alarm Pro Launch

One part home security system, one part eero Wi-Fi router, Ring Alarm Pro is out to revolutionize home security by keeping your home and your life online safe. There’s only one problem: when you start talking about LTE and data storage, most people’s eyes roll back in their head—and what’s that got to do with an alarm anyway?

That’s why this launch took over a year to nail down. Working cross-functionally, I was able to take a super complicated, multidimensional product and boil it down to two key benefits. Safer at home. Secure online.

From Ring Protect subscription marketing pages and new, best-in-class Video Doorbell PDPs, to RingTV, blog posts, video content, and landing pages to support huge Amazon device launches, if it’s on Ring.com, I’ve probably written it.

With each page, I took on content strategy and implementation—working closely with digital and UX designers to get it right, and create custom designs when needed. I present pages to stakeholders, managing feedback and turning it into actionable updates.


Lennar communities connected by Ring

Ring partnered with Lennar, one of the nation’s leading home builders, to build smart homes that are ready to go from day one. Each home featured a Ring Video Doorbell Pro, Ring Alarm, eero Wi-Fi, a smart garage door opener, and so much more, all controlled through the Ring App.

We branded these neighborhoods as Lennar Communities Connected by Ring.

I led the team in creating a digital brochure for prospective homebuyers on Lennar’s website, a page on Ring.com, testimonial video content from Lennar residents, community signage, social posts at launch, and direct mail pieces sent to new homeowners helping them get set up, should they need it.
